- Bring comfortable walking shoes for the medinas, archaeological sites, valleys, and desert terrain.
- Pack light layers, as temperatures can change considerably between the cities, mountains, and Sahara Desert. Desert evenings may be cool even after warm days.
- Bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen, and keep a refillable water bottle with you during longer travel days.
- Some days include several hours of driving. Regular comfort, refreshment, and photography stops will be made along the route.
- During the camel trek, your main luggage will be transported separately to the desert camp by 4×4. Keep valuables, medication, and important documents in a small personal bag.
