Itinerary

Your private 3 Days Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour begins with pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech in the morning. Travel southeast across the High Atlas Mountains, with scenic stops along the winding mountain road.

Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass at an altitude of 2,260 metres and enjoy panoramic views of mountain peaks, terraced valleys, and traditional Amazigh villages.

Continue to the UNESCO-listed Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, where you will have time to explore the historic fortified village and have lunch nearby. Afterwards, travel through Ouarzazate and continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs toward the Valley of Roses.

Arrive in the Dades Valley in the late afternoon, check in at your hotel or guesthouse, and enjoy dinner followed by a relaxing evening.

After breakfast, leave the Dades Valley and continue toward Tinghir, passing traditional villages, rocky landscapes, and palm-filled oases. Stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Tinghir oasis before continuing to Todra Gorge.

Enjoy time to walk between the impressive limestone cliffs of Todra Gorge, take photographs, and have lunch in the area. Afterwards, travel through the pre-Saharan landscapes and the town of Erfoud toward Merzouga.

Arrive near the Erg Chebbi dunes in the late afternoon and begin your camel trek across the golden sand dunes while watching the sunset. If you prefer not to ride a camel, a 4×4 transfer to the camp can be arranged.

At the desert camp, enjoy dinner and traditional music beneath the Sahara sky. Your accommodation will be arranged according to the standard or luxury category selected when booking.

Overnight: Standard or luxury desert camp in Erg Chebbi (HB).

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes, followed by breakfast at the desert camp. Return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 and begin the journey back to Marrakech.

Travel through Rissani and continue across the desert landscapes toward Alnif and N’Kob. The route then follows the palm-filled Draa Valley toward Agdz, with stops along the way for photographs and lunch.

Continue through Ouarzazate before crossing the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening and receive drop-off at your hotel or riad.
